Well hi. It's been a while.
I'm not completely sure what my reason is for not posting in a while. It's more that 2 months went by without me even realizing it. And then I began debating if running an actual blog is even worth it these days or if I should just focus posting on instagram. And in the midst of that debating the company Solosix contacted me, and after seeing how amazing their stuff is I was able to make my decision to come back.
So I'm completely in love with this sweater. It's 100% Alpaca wool so it's super soft, and was inspired by 70s Olympic skiwear. I absolutely love the neckline and the stripes on the arms make it super interesting, while being easy to style. Solosix also places a lot of importance on knowing who is knitting their sweaters and making sure everything is ethically sound; which is a factor that has gotten more and more important to me the older I've gotten. This is definitely the type of clothing that you know is going to last you for years, which in my opinion is the best type of clothing. I truly believe in what this company is doing and represents, and I really urge you to check out their website and give them a follow on instagram!

Maybe personal style just something that comes with age. Or maybe the whole concept is something that only happens to some people, and for others it is just being in a state of continual change. For me I would say the latter has been true, yet as I begin to transition out of college finding my personal style is becoming more important to me, and needed to make my closet a little more packable. Yet throughout these dramatic style changes I've held constant to a few things: motorcycle jackets are a basic, when in doubt stick with stripes, and almost any outfit can be complete with a hat.

I was thinking about the things I wear on here, and realized there was kind of a sense of dishonesty. Not in that what I wear isn't my style, but I never really capture my day to day outfits. To be honest, what I usually post on here I really tried to put together and make look nice according to my personal standards. I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily because I still very much like the things I wear and I actually do wear them, by rarely do I post what I wear on more laid back days when I don't feel the need to put some whole outfit together. So here you have it, a good go to of mine of stripes and a pair of 501s that are falling apart.
